SmartICE is the worldʼs first suite of climate change adaptation tools to integrate traditional knowledge of ice with advanced data acquisition, remote monitoring technology and mapping. Our system combines these approaches to provide invaluable, data-driven insights into sea ice thickness and local ice conditions, in near real-time. We embrace a business model that aims to expand opportunities for economic and social development in northern markets while preserving local cultures and lifestyles.
The Analyst will spend up to 80% of their time on projects issued by SmartICE and 20% of their time on projects issued by Propel Impact. During the week, Analysts will participate in a speaker series curated by Propel and other personal & professional development opportunities.
Propel Impact projects:
We are seeking a passionate and analytical individual to join our team as a Social Impact Analyst. As a Social Impact Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assessing and enhancing the social and environmental impact of our organization’s initiatives. This position involves utilizing data analysis, research, and reporting skills to measure and communicate the positive outcomes of our projects on communities and the environment.
The Analyst will work within the Social Impact and Training Department to support and develop measurement, learning and evaluation frameworks for SmartICE’s programs and services. Our team focuses on ensuring that SmartICE engages in a process of continuous improvement and innovation, maintains accountability to the communities in which we operate and conducts assessments for organizational strategy development.
