Brody McKeown

Field EIT (Engineer-In-Training) – St. John’s

Brody recently graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor in Engineering (Electrical). Brody’s responsibilities include the engineering development, integration, and maintenance of the systems’ sensors and electronics, with a focus on field-related projects. Brody is the primary liaison between field research campaigns and the SmartICE Engineering Department to ensure all technical knowledge and learnings are properly captured and translated into design and implementation post-research. Brody also conducts field-testing of new equipment. He has travelled to communities this past ice season to deliver SmartBUOY, SmartQAMUTIK and First Aid training. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, foraging, and playing ultimate frisbee.
